This is the first ever post for Veraleen.  I am not much of a writer but maybe some photos of our day to day life and interests will be a bit of fun to post.


I am Carols and my sister Dee and I are "Veraleen".  The name is a combination of our two grandmother's names Vera and Kathleen.  Very sentimental I know!  We have a shared love of the handmade, op-shopping and collecting and anything which is recycled, repurposed........ free off the side of the road.


I am also a mad keen amateur photographer, using everything from film, lomo cameras, I have a Diana F, Canon DSLR and even a litle Harinezumi (which is a tiny digital camera with plastic lense that takes low-fi stills and video.......more on that later).


At the moment I am loving Instagram and using my new macro lense band for my iPhone.  To finish up my first post here is an image taken with the iPhone and macro band.  No editing was done except for a basic filter which saturated the colour a bit and made the border to the edges...... very cool!

Time for bed....lots to do tomorrow.
